Empathy In Public Service and Healthcare: Why It’s Important
The lack of empathy from police, EMS workers, and healthcare causes significant negative consequences for the community and the “providers.” These consequences cost $$ and cost careers and family relationships. There are some suggestions on how to maintain and increase empathy.
